SA vs IND Analysis:
India and West Indies are going to be playing an ODI series in Ahmedabad and for a lot of reasons, this series is more important than most bilateral series. India is going to start life under the leadership of Rohit Sharma and has also made some important changes to its lineup.
The West Indian players will have one eye on the IPL Auction around the corner and that will give them all the motivation needed to perform at their best.
From a betting point of view, all the best cricket betting sites are favoring India to win this match. We have seen India be a lot more beatable in recent times and the West Indian team is always dangerous to play against.

Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The weather forecast for match day is excellent and we expect the pitch to be very good as well. The series between India and England was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium and the ball really traveled very nicely off the surface. That means the fast-bowlers are going to have something to work and the batsmen should enjoy their time in the middle as well.
A high-scoring match where 300 or more runs are going to be scored in each inning is likely.
Team Preview:
India (IND):
India was supposed to be at full strength for this match but a COVID outbreak has meant that Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Ruturaj Gaikwad are not going to be available for selection. We cannot help but think that this is a positive thing for India in the long run.
Rohit Sharma has to decide whether Lokesh Rahul is the answer to India’s opening need or give someone like Ishan Kishan a run. Either way, India will be with a new combination and that makes it a bit more vulnerable. Virat Kohli will bat at three while Suryakumar Yadav, Rishab Pant, and Deepak Hooda will form the middle-order.
Five out of the previous eight ODI centuries that Kohli has made have come against the West Indies and he might be an excellent pick to score a century in this match as well. The betting odds are probably the best you are ever going to get for a player like him.
India’s batting looks good on paper but with a number of players being shifted about, it is more vulnerable to a collapse than before.
The bowling lineup has also been changed around. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi have found a place in the squad to try and increase India’s effectiveness in the middle overs. once again, Rohit Sharma will have to choose between Yuzvendra Chahal and the new spinners. Deepak Chahar, Mohammad Siraj, and Shardul Thakur seem likely to be the first-choice fast-bowlers for this match.
Likely XI: Rohit Sharma (capt), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Deepak Hooda, Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav/Washington Sundar, Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna

West Indies (WI):
West Indies has not had a good time in the ODI’s off late. It lost a series at home to Ireland and is now going to go up against India in India. Never an easy task. West Indies also needs to win this series 3-0 if possible to try and have a chance of qualifying directly for the ODI World Cup in India in 2023.
Brandon King and Shai Hope are likely to open the batting for the West Indies with Nkrumah Bonner, Darren Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, and Fabian Allen rounding out the top-7. As always, there is a lot of power in this lineup and plenty of experience of playing in India as well.
Akeal Hossain, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, and Kemar Roach/Odean Smith should find a place in the playing eleven as well.
The depth in batting for the West Indies is just incredible and no team is capable of matching it in that regard. Whether these players can actually turn potential into performance remains to be seen.
West Indies has always struggled with its bowling in recent times. Bringing Kemar Roach back for the ODI’s seems to be an odd move but it may help add some teeth to their new-ball bowling. Romario Shepherd is excellent at the death but the rest of the bowling looks a bit suspect. Fabian Allen and Akeal Hossain are not the kind of spinners that are going to worry the Indian batting at all.
Likely XI: Brandon King, Shai Hope, Darren Bravo, Shamar Brooks, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard (c), Jason Holder, Akil Hossein, Alzarri Joseph/Odeon Smith, Hayden Walsh Jr, Kemar Roach
