Let us tell you that this is the second grenade attack by terrorists on the security forces within the last 20 hours. Earlier on Thursday evening, some terrorists had hurled a grenade targeting the vehicles of security forces in the Kigam area of Shopian. This grenade also exploded at some distance from the vehicle without hitting the target.
Immediately after the attack, the security forces launched an operation to search for the terrorists, but the terrorists fled from there taking advantage of the darkness. The Resistance Front, an affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba, had claimed responsibility for the Shopian grenade attack.
