The existing customers of the bank will also get the benefit of this. After retirement, they will no longer have to open a Pension Khata (Pension Account) at another place. The Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) has approved the bank to do so.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Pension Payment Now Authorized Bank-
According to CPAO’s Central Controller of Accounts Anang Rawat, Kotak Mahindra Bank has been approved for pension disbursement. This approval has been given in the name of Pension Scheme Booklet. Now Kotak Mahindra Bank will work like an Authorized Bank in terms of payment of pension.
Inform retiring employees about new updates-
According to Anang Rawat, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had authorized private sector banks to issue pension. For this, he has got all the access so that he can deal with the pension related work with the help of Central Pension Processing Center (CPPC).
Along with this, all the ministries have been directed to inform the retiring employees about this new update so that they can take the pension related services of Kotak Mahindra Bank if they want. They can open their pension account there.
Pension Adalat will be through VC on May 5:
Let us inform that the government is also setting up a nationwide Pension Adalat to remove the pension related problems of the pensioners. It will be organized on 5th May 2022. Pensioners will be able to put their problems in this court through video conferencing. They don’t have to go anywhere to complain.
