The Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2022 has been announced and Team India’s official kit partner MPL Sports has also announced the release of the new jersey. The new jersey of the Indian team will be issued before the T20 World Cup.
MPL posted a video on Twitter in which captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and batsman Shreyas Iyer shared that fans can give suggestions to make the jersey of their choice. Earlier, India’s new jersey was also issued for the 2021 T20 World Cup.

MPL hasn’t revealed much about the design and pattern of the new kit from India. However, by watching the video, it is clear that this time too the jersey will be painted sky blue, like it was in the 2016 T20 World Cup. Team India currently wears a dark blue jersey in ODIs and T20s. This jersey was launched before last year’s T20 World Cup.

Team India’s jersey was of light blue color in the T20 World Cup 2007. Indian team has worn jersey of this color on most of the occasions. This jersey proved to be very lucky for India and under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, the Indian team won the title by showing a great game.
T20 World Cup 2009:
In the 2009 T20 World Cup, the Indian team’s jersey was dark blue. The jersey collar was dark orange instead of light blue. However, this time India’s performance was not special and Pakistan’s team won the title. Pakistan had defeated the Sri Lankan team in the final.

The jersey of the 2010 T20 World Cup was also similar to the jersey used in 2009. It was made in blue and orange colors. Along with this, there were three colors of the flag of India on one side. This time the England team won the title. England defeated Australia in the final.
