The third test match of the Ashes series did not last even for three days. In the first session of the third day itself, the result of this match came out because like the first two matches, in this match also England team got all four and lost the series.

The third match of the five-match Ashes series was played between hosts Australia and England at the MCG in Melbourne. In this match, the Australian team defeated England badly and won the Ashes series by winning three consecutive matches. England’s second innings was reduced to just 68 runs and thus the team led by Joe Root lost the match by an innings and 14 runs.

Talking about this match, Australian team captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl. In such a situation, the England team was piled up after scoring 185 runs in just 65.1 overs. Captain Joe Root scored 50 runs for England. At the same time, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon took 3-3 wickets for Australia. In response, Australia batted 87.5 overs in their first innings and scored 267 runs for the loss of all wickets.
