Match Details:
Date: December 22, 2021
Time: 01:45 PM (IST)
Venue: Docklands Stadium, Victoria, Australia
Live Streaming: Sony LIV App
TV: Sony Sports Network
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The conditions in Melbourne are going to be good for cricket. There is no rain predicted and the pitch should be quite evenly balanced as well. We saw 153 being defended in the only games at the Docklands Stadium this season and that is somewhere around the par score for that venue. There is always a little hit for the spinners and the ball does not come on to the bat too rapidly.
Team Preview:
Melbourne Renegades (MLR):
The Renegades will get a boost in this match thanks to the return of Aaron Finch and James Pattinson for this match. These are two world-class players that will immediately strengthen the batting and the bowling lineup of the Renegades. These reinforcements were much needed as the Renegades have struggled pretty massively on the batting front. Mackenzie Harvey scored 71 for the Renegades in the previous match but we would still not bet on him. The Renegades have pretty much the same batting lineup for quite some time now and it does not seem to be consistent enough.
We think they are going to struggle against the Perth Scorchers as well.
Having James Pattinson definitely strengthens the bowling lineup. He is going to have Kane Richardson, Zahir Khan, and Mohammad Nabi for help for sure. One out of Prestwidge, Sutherland, or Topley is going to have to miss out.
The bowling attack for the Renegades has been doing well but it is also up against one of the strongest batting lineups in the BBL.
Likely XI: Sam Harper, Mackenzie Harvey, Nic Maddinson, James Seymour, Jake Fraser McGurk, Mohammad Nabi, Will Sutherland, Jack Prestwidge, Kane Richardson, Reece Topley, Zahir Khan.

Perth Scorchers (PRS):
The Perth Scorchers have not put a foot wrong so far. They have won all of their matches and seem to have more depth than any other team in the Big Bash. What is also incredible is that new players have emerged as match-winners for the Scorchers in almost every match. Mitchell Marsh, Kurtis Patterson, Colin Munro, Ashton Agar, and Tymal Mills have all played a big hand in the success that the Scorchers have had so far.
We have no doubts that the Scorchers have a stronger batting lineup and a bowling attack that is in great form. The ideal betting strategy is going to be backing the Scorchers as a team to do better than the Renegades instead of trying to pick out individual winners.
We are going to look at Most Sixes, Highest Score in 1st 6 overs, Most Fours, and such betting markets for this match.
Likely XI: Colin Munro, Kurtis Patterson, Mitchell Marsh, Josh Inglis, Ashton Turner, Laurie Evans, Ashton Agar, Andrew Tye, Jason Behrendorff, Peter Hatzoglou, Tymal Mills.
