Team Analysis:
The Sydney Sixers lost their match against the Perth Scorchers and they now have just over 24-hours before they play their next match against Brisbane Heat. The schedule is tough but COVID-19 has forced all the teams to adapt quickly.
The Sixers sit at second on the BBL 2021-22 standings with six wins from nine matches. Brisbane Heat, on the other hand, has won just three out of its eight matches but seems to be hitting its stride.
There could be some key players missing from both teams and that will make the contest more interesting as well.
Match Details:
Date: January 19, 2022
Time: 07:35 PM (IST)
Venue: The Gabba, Brisbane
Live Streaming: Sony LIV App
TV: Sony Sports Network
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The conditions in The Gabba are expected to be quite good for cricket. There is no rain predicted and the pitch should be full of runs as well. We have seen scores of close to 150 being scored in almost every inning played here. That seems to be the par score. The playing surface is quite big and so the spinners will have something to work with as well.
Team Preview:
Brisbane Heat (BRH):
The Sixers would have been disappointed with their performance against the Scorchers. They started well with the ball and had the Scorchers in trouble at 69 for 5 before they let the lower-order stitch together a couple of very important partnerships and end up with a reasonable total.
Then, the batting effort from the Sixers was just poor. Only Daniel Christian was able to put up some sort of a fight but his brilliant inning of 73 was not enough to steal a win. The Sydney Sixers put in one of their worst performances so far and it is not right to judge them just one that.
Josh Philippe and Moises Henriques continue to be the best batsmen for the Sixers. They are going to be tested against the spinners from the Broisbane Heat side. Josh Philippe is in poor recent form and could bet against him in the total runs Over/Under betting market.
Vince and Henriques would be our two picks for the Top Batsman Sydney Sixers betting market.
Hayden Kerr picked up four wickets in the previous match and continued his fantastic runs of picking up wickets. You can choose between him or Sean Abbott to be the Top Bowler Sydney Sixers in this match. There is a good chance you end up winning with one of those picks.
Likely XI: Chris Lynn, Jimmy Peirson, Ben Duckett, Sam Heazlett, Max Bryant, Xavier Bartlett, James Bazley, Mark Steketee, Matt Kuhnemann, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Jack Wildermuth.

Sydney Sixers (SYS):
There is a big unknown at the moment regarding which players have tested positive from the Brisbane Heat camp. This makes it a bit difficult to analyze what their team strengths and weaknesses may be. Irrespective of the players missing, though, one thing is certain that Brisbane Heat is going to be affected by the absence of some of its best players.
We will not make an assumption regarding the availability of players so make sure you check the lineup before the match starts.
Sam Heazlett and Ben Duckett are the two players that have stood out with their batting in the matches so far. Duckett has the most fifty-plus scores in the Brisbane Heat squad and is also the batsman with the most fours.
You can look for betting markets to take advantage of that like the ‘To Hit 3+ Fours’ and bet on Duckett. Chris Lynn is also showing some signs of form but he has been quite ionconsistent and does not appear to be worth the risk at the moment.
The Brisbane Heat batting lineup is not as strong as the Sydney Sixers and their replacement player, Fakhar Zaman has not quite linked up with them so far.
James Bazley and Xavier Bartlett are the two bowlers that we are looking at in this match. They have both been among the wickets in most matches, with eleven wickets each and their economy rate is pretty decent as well. You could look for a #BetYourWay betting market on Betway for both bowlers to pick up one wickets each.
Likely XI: Josh Philippe, James Vince, Moises Henriques, Jack Edwards, Jordan Silk, DT Christian, Sean Abbott, Hayden Kerr, Ben Dwarshuis, Jackson Bird, Steve O’Keefe.
