Hobart Hurricanes vs Sydney Sixers (HBHvSYS): The 4th Match of KFC BBL 2021-22 will be played between these two teams HBH vs SYS , The match will begin on 08 December 2021 at 01:05 PM IST.
Key Points:
- Hobart Hurricanes have a very strong batting lineup with plenty of power and depth
- Sydney Sixers are extremely well-balanced and have started BBL 2021-22 with a massive win
- We think the Hobart Hurricanes have the advantage in terms of six-hitting power
Team Analysis:
The Hobart Hurricanes are going to be starting their Big Bash League campaign against the two-time defending champions, the Sydney Sixers. This is a tough match to start your campaign with as the Melbourne Stars also found out in the previous match. The Sydney Sixers absolutely crushed them and registered the biggest win in BBL history.
No surprise then that they are the favorites on all cricket betting sites but we are a little shocked that their odds were not shorter than they are.

The track, historically, helps the team batting second. However, batters endured a tough time in the recently-concluded Women’s Big Bash League. While the track can be expected to be made more batting-friendly, batters need to showcase application to get runs.
Team Preview:
Hobart Hurricanes (HBH):
The Hobart Hurricanes are always one of the dark horses for the BBL title. They have a strong team and always seem capable of beating any side on their day. The batting lineup is going to be led by Matthew Wade, Darcy Short, Caleb Jewell at the top with Ben McDermott, Peter Handscomb, and Tim David in the middle. This is a very strong batting lineup.
We are especially excited about Tim David’s form and think he could be a great pick for the ‘To Hit a Six’ betting market. His ability to smash deliveries over the boundary line is going to come in very handy for the Hurricanes.
Rilee Meredith is the express fast-bowler in this lineup, as the Hurricanes always tend to have in their ranks. He is going to be supported by Nathan Ellis, Scott Boland, and possibly Joel Paris in there as well. Nathan Ellis is the designated death bowler of the team and could be a good pick to the top wicket-taker for the Hurricanes in this match.
Likely XI: D’Arcy Short, Matthew Wade (C & WK), Ben McDermott, Peter Handscomb, Tim David, Mac Wright, Jordan Thompson, Joel Paris, Nathan Ellis, Riley Meredith, Sandeep Lamichhane
Please check the team once when Playing XI Announced.
Sydney Sixers (SYS):
The Sydney Sixers got out of the blocks in the best way possible with a 152 run win over the Melbourne Stars. It was as emphatic a victory as you could dream of. Josh Philippe, Moises Henriques, and James Vince all batted beautifully to essentially put the game beyond the Stars.
Steve O’Keefe ended up with four wickets and continued to show his mastery of the new ball. Sean Abbott is one of those bowlers that always picks up a lot of wickets and he ended up with three as well.
There is no doubt that the Sydney Sixers are one of the best teams of BBL 2021-22. Are they unbeatable, though? We don’t think so.
A couple of early wickets could test their batting depth and the bowling attack can be put under pressure as well.
Likely XI: Josh Philippe (WK), James Vince, Moises Henriques (C), Daniel Hughes, Jordan Silk, Daniel Christian, Tom Curran, Sean Abbott, Hayden Kerr, Chris Jordan, Steve OKeefe
