Jamaica Tallawahs vs St Lucia Kings (JTvSLK): The 3rd Match of CPL 2021 will be played between these two teams JT vs SLK , The match will begin on 27 August 2021 at 07:30 PM IST.
Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- Both teams have a problem with batting depth in our opinion
- Jamaica Tallawahs have Andre Russell in their team and he is always worth at least two players!
- St. Lucia Kings have a better bowling lineup and that could give them the edge in this contest
JT vs SLK Analysis:
The Jamaica Tallawahs will be starting their CPL 2021 campaign against the newly renamed St. Lucia Kings. The Tallawahs have been one of the most divided franchises of the CPL with player-coach differences, ownership interference, and players simply not wanting to play for it anymore.
That has led to a strong set of players underperforming. With the T20 World Cup and IPL just around the corner, teams will be hoping that players do not need any extra motivation to give it their absolute best.
The St. Lucia Kings have their work cut out for them this season. They have a good set of players but will need to be innovative to find that little bit extra that gets them past the other favored teams.

Pitch and Weather Conditions:
There is no rain that is predicted in St. Kitts and so that should make for a good evening of cricket. The pitch should be a bit on the slower side but quite flat in general. The batsmen will be able to get plenty of big hits once they get their eyes in.
A score of around 160-170 is definitely on the cards in this match.
Probably XI:
Jamaica Tallawahs:
The biggest strength for the Jamaica Tallawahs is the presence of three tremendous all-rounders. Andre Russell is the best T20 player on the planet and the Tallawahs will e hoping he can remain fit for the entirety of CPL 2021.
He will have Carlos Brathwaite and Rovman Powell for company. Brathwaite was very successful with the ball in the T20 Blast and got some important runs as well while Rovman Powell sees himself more as a batting all-rounder these days.
The challenge for the Tallawahs is going to be finding enough quality around these three.
Qais Ahmad, Haider Ali, and Chris Green are the overseas players that are likely to play. While Qais Ahmad and Chris Green are good spinners, Haider Ali is quite inconsistent as a batsman.
Shamarh Brooks, Jason Mohammad, Kennar Lewis, and Chadwick Walton are the other supporting batsmen in the lineup while Fidel Edwards will be expected to lead with the ball.
There is enough individual brilliance in this team to be able to win any match but we don’t like the balance of the squad. We think the Tallawahs will struggle to be consistent this season as well.
Likely XI: Chadwick Walton (wk), Shamarh Brookes, Haider Ali, Jason Mohammed, Andre Russell, Rovman Powell (c), Chris Green, Veerasammy Permaul, Qais Ahmed, Fidel Edwards, Migael Pretorius

St Lucia Kings:
The St. Lucia Kings have an interesting T20 team. It may not have some of the big names that you expect to find in a CPL team but it is pretty well put together. They have Faf du Plessis as the captain, an excellent move considering his experience and past record.
He is also going to play a crucial role with the bat at the top of the order.
In Tim David, the St. Luycia Kings have made a very smart acquisition as he can play the power game in the middle and clear the boundaries as required.
Andre Fletcher, Roston Chase, Rakheem Cornwall, Samit Patel, and Keemo Paul will add depth to the batting lineup. This is not a batting lineup that is going to get many massive individual scores but it could be able to find small, fast-scoring performances from a number of its players.
The bowling lineup will have Obed McCoy, Alzarri Joseph, Usman Qadir, Wahab Riaz, and perhaps, Kesrick Williams. Add the all-rounders into the mix and there are a lot of bowling options available to Faf du Plessis.
Obed McCoy has grown into one of the shrewdest T20 bowlers in the Caribbean and is one to watch out for in this match and the remaining CPL 2021 season.
Likely XI: Faf du Plessis (c), Andre Fletcher (wk), Rahkeem Cornwall, Roston Chase, Tim David, Keemo Paul, Obed McCoy, Alzarri Joseph, Kesrick Williams, Wahab Riaz, Usman Qadir
