Sri Lankan team’s troubles are not taking the name of lessening. Ahead of the second T20, the team has suffered another setback and its spin bowler Mahesh Teeksha has been ruled out of the T20 series due to a hamstring injury.

Mendis could make a comeback till the third T20I but won’t take the risk of including him if Sri Lanka want to keep him for the Test match. The Test match will start from March 4 in Mohali.
Mendis hasn’t played a Test match since January last year but has been in better form since returning to cricket from a six-month ban for breaching Covid protocol. He was also made the player of the match in the 5th match against Australia.
Teekshana’s exit is also a big setback for the Sri Lankan team as she has bowled brilliantly in pawplay for the last 6 months. Sri Lanka lost the first match against India by 62 runs while the second and third matches will be held in Dharamsala on February 26 and 27.
