West Indies had to score 266 runs to win but this team was bowled out for 169 runs in 37.1 overs and lost by 96 runs. After winning the third ODI, India made a clean sweep of the West Indies in the three-match ODI series.

The Indian cricket team played the last match of the three-match ODI series against the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first in this match. Batting first, India scored 265 runs in 50 overs on the back of half-centuries from Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. West Indies had to score 266 runs to win, but this team was bowled out for 169 runs in 37.1 overs and lost by 96 runs.

After winning the third ODI, India cleaned up West Indies in the three-match ODI series. Famous Krishna got the Player of the Series title for his brilliant bowling, while Shreyas Iyer, who scored 80 runs in the third ODI, was adjudged the Player of the Match.

Team India’s batting, Kohli, Shreyas and Pant’s half-centuries settled on zero:

When India came out to bat, Rohit Sharma had already expressed his intention on the ball, but he was dismissed for 13 runs in the fourth over itself. After two balls, Virat Kohli was also out for a duck. Both were dismissed by Alzarri Joseph. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for 10 by Odeon Smith, giving Team India the third blow. Rishabh Pant played an innings of 56 runs and he was caught by Hayden Walsh. There was a 110-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Pant and Iyer.

Suryakumar Yadav was caught by Fabian Allen after scoring just 6 runs. Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant innings of 80 runs, but Hayden Walsh ended his innings. Deepak Chahar 38 runs while Kuldeep Yadav was dismissed for 5 runs. Washington Sundar scored 33 runs and was caught out. Jason Holder took 4 wickets for West Indies.

West Indies innings, disappointing performance of batsmen:

Chasing India’s target of 266 runs, the West Indies team got the first blow on the score of 19 runs. Mohammad Siraj sent Shai Hope back LBW for 5 runs. Deepak Chahar gave India the second success by getting Brandon King caught by Suryakumar Yadav on the score of 14 runs. On the last ball of the same over, Brooks was caught for zero by Shreyas Iyer. Famous Krishna, who was the hero of the last match, got Darren Bravo caught by Virat Kohli for 19 runs. Jason Holder was dismissed for 6 runs off the famous Krishna. Captain Pooran scored 34 runs while Allen was dismissed without opening the account. Odeon Smith was dismissed after scoring 36 runs. Hayden Walsh was dismissed for 13 runs off Siraj’s delivery. Hayden Walsh was dismissed for 13. For India, Siraj and famous Krishna took three wickets each while Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.

KL Rahul was out while Dhawan, Shreyas, Deepak and Kuldeep Yadav got a chance:

For the third ODI, the Indian team made four changes in the playing XI. KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal and Deepak Hooda were dropped while Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer and Kuldeep Yadav have been included in the last eleven. Deepak Chahar was given the chance in place of Shardul Thakur. Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer could not play in the last two matches due to Kovid. For the last match of this ODI series against India, the visiting team made a change in their playing XI. West Indies rested Aqeel Hossain for this match and Hayden Walsh got a chance in his place.

Brandon King, Shai Hope (wk), Darren Bravo, Shamrah Brooks, Nicholas Pooran (c), Jason Holder, Fabinay Allen, Odeon Smith, Alzarri Joseph, Hayden Walsh, Kemar Roach.
