The ODI matches will be played on February 6, 9 and 11 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The T20Is will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on February 16, 18 and 20, with the team expected to be announced on Friday.
The ODI series will be part of the ICC ODI Super League and West Indies will have an opportunity to score points to be among the top seven teams to achieve automatic qualification in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Let us tell you that the World Cup is to be held in India and that host team does not need qualification.
Chief selector, Desmond Haynes, said, “Kemar Roach is one of our key fast bowlers and we believe we need bowlers to pick up wickets early on and Kemar, with an economy rate of five, is definitely a good option.” . Nkrumah Bonner has done exceptionally well in the last few years and we believe he should be given a chance to play in the 50-over format.
