Once again in India, the Covid 19 epidemic has assumed a formidable form and due to this, many necessary steps are being taken as a precaution in different states of the country. Taking an important step in this episode, BCCI has also postponed many domestic tournaments including Ranji Trophy to be held this year.
The number of people getting infected with Covid 19 is increasing and recently the support staff including players of Bengal Ranji team were also found positive.
Let us tell you that all the state teams were fully prepared for the Ranji Trophy tournament to be held this year and it was to start from January 13. At the same time, the final match of this season was to be played from March 14.
Keeping in mind the safety of the players, the Indian Cricket Board has taken this big step and all domestic tournaments have been postponed. This is the second year in a row that the BCCI has taken such a step. In the year 2021 also, due to the Covid 19 epidemic, the board had postponed the domestic tournaments.
