India will host four country after T20WC 2021: India will host New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa after the T20 World Cup to be held in Oman and United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October-November. During this, three T20s and two Tests will be played against New Zealand, three ODIs and three T20s against West Indies, two Tests and three T20s against Sri Lanka and five T20 matches against South Africa.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has prepared the schedule of international matches for the next domestic season. It will be approved in the online meeting of the BCCI Apex Council to be held on Monday. England toured India in February-March. Since then no international cricket has taken place in the country. England played five Tests, three ODIs and five T20s during that tour. After this IPL was organized which had to be stopped midway due to Corona.
Due to Corona, the remaining season of IPL will be held in UAE from Sunday. The Indian team will play the home series against New Zealand in November-December. After that it will go to South Africa to play the series. The Indian team will play three Tests, three ODIs and four T20s there in December-January. If West Indies tour India in February, then Sri Lanka will also come this month and their tour will end with a T20 match in Lucknow on 18 March. IPL will be organized in April-May. Right after the IPL, T20 matches from South Africa will start from June 9, which will run till the 19th.
Plenty of T20: India will play a total of 21 international matches in the next domestic season, in which there will be 14 T20 matches. India will host only three ODIs and four Test matches during this period. The special thing is that Virat has decided to leave the captaincy of T20 after the T20 world. Whoever is the new captain will get a chance to captain 14 matches at home in a single season. Apart from this, he will also get a chance to captain in four T20 matches on the tour of South Africa. The T20 World Cup is to be held in Australia next year as well and in the last two years, India has not been able to host many matches due to Corona. This is the reason why India will play more and more T20 matches. This will also give the team more practice in this format and also generate more revenue for the broadcaster.
