Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one of the most successful captains of the Indian cricket team, is celebrating his 40th birthday on 7 July. The Rajkumar of Ranchi, captaining Team India, achieved such achievements which will always be remembered. Dhoni brought three big ICC titles to India with his brilliant captaincy. Although all this was a memorable win more than one, but the victory of ODI World in the year 2011 is special for former captain Sourav Ganguly.
A few days back, Dada had remembered this victory during an event. He told how the Indian team’s victory in 2011 is the most special for him. Ganguly considers it the biggest day of Indian cricket. Not only this, Dhoni’s winning six in the final against Sri Lanka, he considers the most memorable shot in Indian cricket history.

Ganguly recalled Dhoni’s winning six in the 2011 World Cup final, describing it as spectacular.
“For me, when the Indian team won the World Cup in the year 2011 was the biggest day. The great MS Dhoni and his last ball six was amazing. It will always be in the history of Indian cricket. Will remain memorable. What a wonderful moment that was. I remember I was present at Wankhede that night and came out of the commentary box to see Dhoni. How the team was roaming around the whole ground. The team I captained in the year 2003 I was very happy that Dhoni got a chance to lift this trophy.”
