The Indian cricket team has secured a place in the final of the Under-19 World Cup. In the second semi-final of the tournament played on Wednesday, Team India showed a blazing game and won a one-sided victory of 97 runs against Australia. Now in the final, India will face England on Saturday, February 5. Batting first, India scored 290 for 5 in 50 overs. In reply, Australia were bundled out for 194 runs in 41.5 overs.
India captain Yash Dhul won the toss and elected to bat against Australia. The start of the team was not good and 37 runs took two blows. From here, captain Yash and vice-captain Sheikh Rashid took over the innings. Both shared a partnership of more than 200 for the third wicket. Yash scored 110 runs in 110 balls with the help of 10 fours and 1 six. Rashid was dismissed for 94 off 108 balls and missed a century. In the end, Dinesh scored 20 runs in 4 balls to take the team’s score to 290 runs for 5 wickets in 50 overs.
The Indian bowlers gave a blow to Australia, chasing the target. Ravi Kumar sends Teague Wylie back for 1 run. Campbell Kelaway and Corey Miller took over the innings. Angkrish broke this pair and gave success to India. From here the batting of Australia started collapsing and on sight the team lost 7 wickets. Seven wickets of the team had fallen for 125 runs. These two bowlers played an important role in breaking Australia’s back. Vicky took 3 wickets for 42 runs in 10 overs. On the other hand, Nishant Sindhu took 2 wickets while spending 25 runs in the bowling of 6 overs.
