The second match of the five-match Test series between India and England is being played at Lord’s. On the second day, in the first innings, the Indian team was all out for 364 runs. KL Rahul scored a brilliant century for Team India, while fast bowler James Anderson took five wickets for England. This was the 5th time in Test cricket when this experienced bowler has done such a feat against India.
After the first Test match in Nottingham was drawn, the Indian team looked strong in the first innings in the second match against England. Openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma made a great start with a partnership of 126 runs. After this, Rahul also played a partnership of more than 100 runs with the captain. In the first innings, the Indian team scored 364 runs and KL Rahul was the highest run-scorer with 129 runs.
England’s fast bowler James Anderson was the biggest contributor in stopping the Indian team from scoring big. This most experienced bowler of the team got England back in the match by taking five wickets. Anderson has moved to third place in the list of five-wicket haulers in Tests against India. This was the fifth time he opened his paw.

All the three legends did this 6-6 times against India in an innings of a Test match. Now Anderson has made it to the second spot with South African legend Dale Steyn.

Anderson is at the forefront of taking 5 wickets in an innings for the most number of times against India at any one ground. This was the fourth time at Lord’s that the stalwart took 5 wickets in an innings of a Test match against India. Ian Botham has done this 3 times against India at Wankhede, Mumbai. Former Sri Lankan legend Muralitharan has taken three five-wicket hauls in an innings while playing against India in Adelaide, Australia’s Nathan Lyon thrice in Colombo.
