The Indian cricket team has reached England for their difficult tour. Both the men’s and women’s teams had left for London in the early hours of Thursday by a special chartered plane. The Indian men’s team has to stay in England for the next four months. Starting this tour, the team will play against New Zealand in the final of the ICC World Test Championship. After this, the team has to play in a series of 5 Test matches with the host team.
According to the information, the Indian team had left after 12 o’clock in the night for the important tour of England. With the change of day, on Thursday night at 12:58 pm, the Board of Control for Cricket in India informed about the departure of the men’s and women’s team of the Indian team. Team batsman KL Rahul posted the first picture after reaching England. After landing with the luggage on his Twitter account, shared a picture of him coming out with the luggage and wrote, Touched the ground.
Indian wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha, who won the battle of Corona a few days ago, shared pictures from the balcony of the hotel. Just behind Saha was the view of the ground on which the team has to practice. Sharing two pictures, he wrote, This is the view outside the balcony of my room.
According to the information, the Indian team will stay at the Ageas Bowl hotel. Here the team will be allowed to practice from the fourth day after being quarantined for three days. On the request of BCCI, the Indian team has been exempted from the quarantine by the England Cricket Board. According to the Kovid protocol, teams have to stay in quarantine for at least 10 days.
At the airport, Indian captain Virat Kohli, opener Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul along with women’s ODI team captain Mithali Raj were seen waiting for the flight. Another opener of the team, Mayank Agarwal, fast bowler Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Siraj were seen waiting in the lodge along with experienced fast bowler Jhulan Goswami of the women’s team.
The men’s team is scheduled to play New Zealand in the first Test Championship final organized by the ICC in England from 18 to 22 June in Southampton. After this, after a long break, from August 4, Team India will start the 5-match Test series with England. The last Test match of the series is to be played from 10 to 14 September. After playing a single Test match in Bristol, the women’s team will play three ODIs and the same number of T20Is.
