Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- KKR’s batting is much weaker when compared to RCB
- There is more power in the RCB lineup when compared to KKR
- RCB has more key players in good form coming into this match
KKR vs RCB Analysis:
The IPL 2021 edition is back and we are in the UAE to complete the remaining group matches followed by the playoffs. It appears as if spectators are going to be allowed in for the matches as well! This next match is going to be played between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Coming into this match is a bit of a fresh start for each team since a number of overseas players are not available and teams are playing at a completely different venue. However, the points from the previous matches still count and that is where KKR has a disadvantage.
KKR is second from the bottom of the table with just two wins in five matches while RCB has won five out of the seven it has played.
From a betting perspective, the addition of new players adds a bit of uncertainty into the mix and that is always a good thing to find some value in the market
Match Details:
Date: September 20, 2021
Time: 07:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi
Live Streaming: Disney+ Hotstar
TV: Star Sports Network.
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The pitch at Abu Dhabi is flat and usually good for batting. It has a nice amount of bounce and allows the batsmen to play their shots freely. The bowlers have to work hard for their wickets but spinners can usually get a little bit of help from the surface. The dimensions of the boundaries are quite large as well.
The par score is expected to be something around 170 batting first.

KKR vs RCB– Head to Head:
Kolkata Knight Riders | Head to Head | Royal Challengers Bangalore |

84 runs | Lowest Score | 49 runs |
222 runs | Highest Score | 213 runs |
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):
Almost every team has had to deal with some player availability issues and KKR is no different. It will not have Pat Cummins available for the remaining matches and that is a big blow. Not only was Pat Cummins the leading wicket-taker for KKR but he was also the only batsman to score at a strike rate of over 150.
His absence will leave a mark for sure and we don’t think Tim Southee (his replacement) is particularly well-suited to the conditions in the UAE.
KKR’s batting was a big problem as Shubman Gill and Eoin Morgan underperformed while Andre Russell struggled to get going. There is still a lot riding on Gill at the top of the order and Russell has been in great form in the CPL.
Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, and Dinesh Karthik are the other players in the top-order. A weaker batting overall than RCB.
Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy are expected to be the main weapons for KKR in the UAE but Lockie Ferguson should not be counted out either. Ferguson is one of the best T20 bowlers in the world with genuine pace, a brilliant yorker, and a brilliant slower delivery.
Likely XI: Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Shivam Mavi, Lockie Ferguson, Varun Chakravarthy, Prasidh Krishna

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB):
RCB has made a number of changes to its squad as some key players became unavailable. In our IPL 2021 Preview, we found RCB to have made a lot of intelligent decisions. Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmanth Chameera, George Garton, Tim David, and Akash Deep have joined the RCB squad.
The biggest loss is that of Washington Sundar who played a big part for RCB in the powerplay and could also bat down the order.
A lot remains the same for RCB as the IPL resumes. Devdutt Padikkal has added a real quality batting option at the top of the order with Virat Kohli the most likely to join him at the top. RCB used the number three position as a floating option and pushed up some pinch hitters.
Glenn Maxwell will come in at number four followed by AB de Villiers.
This is a tremendous batting lineup already and RCB will be spoiled for choice for the other key spots. We think Mohammed Azharuddeen could get a chance to bat at number 6 or maybe Kyle Jamieson could continue to play that role.
Wanindu Hasaranga also can bat, giving RCB another good all-round option.
Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj, and Yuzvendra Chahal are sure to feature in the playing eleven with spaces still open for one or two other members of the bowling group.
Likely XI: Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga , Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal
