Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals (PBKSvRR): Match no. 32 of VIVO IPL 2021 will be played between these two teams PBKS vs RR, The match will begin on 21 September 2021 at 07:30 PM IST.
Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- Rajasthan Royals have a more powerful and deeper batting lineup
- Punjab Kings lack experience and quality in the lower order
- The form of Evin Lewis and Liam Livingstone makes Rajasthan Royals a very dangerous team and the side to back in this contest
PBKS vs RR Analysis:
The Punjab Kings are going to be playing against the Rajasthan Royals as both teams resume their IPL 2021 campaigns. This is a very interesting match from an IPL betting perspective as the two teams are quite evenly matched. A lot of changes have been made to the overseas players available for both teams and so we could see some major changes in the way they lineup.
Change is always good for smart bettors as they can use uncertainty to find good value in the betting markets.
Match Details:
Date: September 21, 2021
Time: 07:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Dubai international Cricket Stadium, Dubai
Live Streaming: Disney+ Hotstar
TV: Star Sports Network.
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The pitch in Dubai is going to be absolutely flat for batting but it does not have the same kind of bounce that Abu Dhabi does. It should favor the spinners a tad bit but on the whole, the batsmen will be able to play their shots after getting in.
A score of around 165-175 is par batting first.
Team Preview:
PBKS vs RR- Head to Head:
Punjab Kings | Head to Head | Rajasthan Royals |

124 runs | Lowest Score | 112 runs |
223 runs | Highest Score | 226 runs |
Punjab Kings (PBKS):
Punjab Kings have just three wins from their eight matches so far and have been one of the underperformers of IPL 2021. They are going to be without three of their big acquisitions as Riley Meredith, Jhye Richardson, and Dawid Malan are all unavailable.
Punjab Kings, though, have added Aiden Markram, Nathan Ellis, and Adil Rashid to their squad. We don’t think Ellis is going to get a game immediately but Adil Rashid is certainly going to make a big difference to their lineup.
There are some big gaps in the Punjab Kings lineup, though. KL Rahul struggles with strike rate and can actually hurt the team when he does not end up making a big score. Chris Gayle is always a bit hit and miss at this stage in his career and Shahrukh Khan + Deepak Hooda have not delivered as the power hitters in the lower order.
We all know the potential of Nicholas Pooran but he has four ducks in six matches and cannot take his place for granted.
The bowling lineup is quite good with Ravi Bishnoi, Adil Rashid, Chris Jordan, and Mohammad Shami.
Likely XI: KL Rahul (c,wk), Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Shahrukh Khan, Deepak Hooda, Fabian Allen, Chris Jordan, Mohammed Shami, Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh

Rajasthan Royals (RR):
The Rajasthan Royals have lost the service of Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Andrew Tye, and Jofra Archer. These are huge names to be without but we actually think that the Rajasthan Royals could be in a better place after the IPL 2021 resumption.
In fact, we think RR is the one team that bettors need to keep a close eye on.
We expect to see Evin Lewis and Liam Livingstone in the starting eleven for the Rajasthan Royals. Both of these players are in tremendous form. Evin lewis just broke the record for the most number of sixes in the CPL and Livingstone hit the fastest ever T20 century for England not too long back.
Livingstone will also add quality with his spin, something that Rajasthan Royals have struggled with.
Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, and Chris Morris make this a formidable batting lineup. We think they have the advantage over the Punjab kings in this area for sure.
The weak link is the bowling. The Rajasthan Royals spinners struggled to make an impact in the first half of IPL 2021. However, they do have Mustafizur Rahman who seems to have regained his confidence with a string of excellent performances for Bangladesh recently.
Likely XI: Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c, wk), Liam Livingstone, Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Jaydev Unadkat, Chetan Sakariya/Kartik Tyagi and Tabriaz Shamsi
