In the 43rd match of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, the teams of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals were face to face. RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first. In this match, both the teams decided to go with the changes. Rajasthan scored 149 for 9 in front of Bangalore in 20 overs on the basis of half-century from Evin Lewis. In reply, on the strength of Glenn Maxwell’s brilliant innings, Bangalore achieved the target of victory by losing 3 wickets in 17.1 overs.
Bangalore won the match-
Chasing the target, skipper Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal made a quick start. Mustafizur Rahman in the form of Padikkal gave the first blow to the team. He was bowled on the ball coming in after scoring 22 runs. Just after this, in an attempt to steal a run, Virat Kohli had to return after being run out. Riyan Parag forced him to go back for 25 runs.
KS Bharat was dismissed for 44 runs off 35 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six.
Rajasthan Royals scored 149 runs-
Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave Rajasthan team a quick start against Bangalore. Together they added 52 runs for the team in the first 5 overs. Mohammad Siraj gave the team the first success by getting Yashasvi caught by Dan Christian for 31 runs. Even after the fall of the first wicket, Lewis continued the attack and completed the half-century. With the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes in 31 balls, this batsman completed his fifty. After scoring 58 off 37 balls, he was caught by KS Bharat on the ball of Garten.
Mahipal Lomror was stumped after scoring 3 runs for a big shot to Yuzvendra Chahal. After this, captain Sanju Samson was caught for 19 runs on the boundary off Shahbad Ahmed. Rahul Tewatia was dismissed for 2 runs off Shahbaz’s ball in an attempt of a big shot.
George Garten has been named in the playing XI in place of Kyle Jamieson in the Bangalore team. With this match, George is going to make his IPL debut. Rajasthan have included Karthik Tyagi in place of Jaydev Unadkat in the playing XI.
