The mega auction for the next season of IPL 2022 i.e. Indian Premier League can be organized on February 12 and 13. This time the auction can be organized by BCCI in Bangalore. Although BCCI has not yet officially announced the date for this mega auction, the franchise owners have confirmed that the auction can be organized on this date.
A Cricbuzz report claimed that the portal had spoken to the owners of IPL franchises to find out the auction dates. On the basis of negotiations, it was concluded that this auction can be held on February 12 and 13. The thing to keep in mind here is that at the time when the auction will be organized in Bangalore, at that time the Indian team will be playing the home series against West Indies. The ODI match between India and West Indies will be played on February 12. This match will be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
A BCCI official said that the Indian team will be playing the match on that day, but the auction schedule is fixed and the board will ensure that it does not affect the match in any way. A franchise official, after confirming this to the BCCI, told Cricbuzz that it has been clarified to us that the match and the auction are two different things and both will be conducted.
