Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants (GTvLSG): The 4th match of IPL 2022 will be played between GT vs LSG, the match will start at 07:30 PM IST on 28 March 2022 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India
Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- Both teams are missing some important players from their squad and will have to make some adjustments but LSG seems more affected at this point
- Neither side really has a convincing batting lineup and look prone to collapses
- Rashid Khan and Lockie Ferguson give the Gujarat Titans a slight advantage in the bowling attack
GT vs LSG Analysis:
Two new teams of the Indian Premier League, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants are going to play their first match against each other. Both teams were given a chance to sign up some big-name players ahead of the auction to try to level with the others.
As a result, they also have some very strong squads to choose from. From a betting point of view, the higher the number of unknowns, the greater the chance of making a mistake. So we will try to look at the strengths and weaknesses of their lineup so that they can take advantage of the best IPL betting offers.

Pitch and Weather Conditions:
Mumbai weather is very good for cricket. It’s not raining and we shouldn’t have any interruptions. The pitch should be flat and good for batting with short boundaries which can be a magnet for hitting sixes. The dew can make the conditions even better for batting in the second innings and may ultimately be in favor of the chasing team.
A high scoring match with lots of sixes is likely.

Gujarat Titans (GT):
Gujarat Titans suffered a setback on their strategy due to Jason Roy’s withdrawal from IPL 2022. They have got Rahmanullah Gurbaz as a replacement and it is a very good choice made by the management. Gurbaz has done quite well in the past in T10 tournaments as well as in the PSL. He is certainly capable of making the necessary quick starts.
Shubman Gill will form a strong opening partnership with Gurbaz, but the rest of the lineup is not very confident. Wriddhiman Saha, Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Rahul Teotia can get a place in the top-7. The other two will be Hardik Pandya (return from injury) and Matthew Wade.
We know what Pandya has done in the past but what will be the impact of not playing top class cricket for so long? We can’t bet on him until we see what he can do. Also, Wade has revived himself as a lower-order hitter but has a poor record in India.
Gujarat Titans is not the batting lineup that we have confidence in right now.
The bowling attack is where things start to get a little more interesting. Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami and maybe Varun Aaron can be found. We have no idea about whether Hardik Pandya will bowl in IPL 2022 but we will not count it.
The fact that Hardik Pandya is going to captain a team for the first time in his career is also something you should consider as his strategy will guide the entire team.
Likely XI: Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade, Abhinav Sadarangani, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Hardik Pandya (c), Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):
Many players have been missing from their team from the first three matches of Lucknow Super Giants. Jason Holder, Kyle Meyers and Marcus Stoinis are busy with international events, while Mark Wood has been ruled out due to injury.
The positive is that Quinton de Kock is expected to be available for selection for the first match. He and KL Rahul will form a dangerous pair to open the batting. We think Wankhede will suit Rahul’s batting style and look forward to another big IPL from him. Quinton de Kock played for Mumbai Indians for a long time and he would know what to expect from Wankhede too.
Evin Lewis can bat at number three for this match, followed by Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya and possibly K Gautam. Once again, this batting lineup is far from convincing, but it has great potential.
Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi and Andrew Tye will all be in the playing XI. Add Kunal Pandya and you have four bowlers that anyone can relate to. We feel, depending on the surface, Lucknow Super Giants may gamble with an extra batsman or add another fast bowler to their ranks.
With not many players available, LSG has become weak and till that time a lot will depend on KL Rahul.
Likely XI: KL Rahul (c), Evin Lewis, Manish Pandey, Manan Vohra, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Panda, Krishnappa Gowtham, Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Ankit Rajpoot.
