IPL team Gujarat Titans recently bought opener batsman Jason Rai for his base price of Rs 2 crore in the mega auction. Now the franchise is looking for another player in his place.
England cricket team’s opener batsman Jayan Rai has been ruled out of the 15th season of IPL starting this month. This was claimed in a report. Opener Jason Rai withdrew, citing the challenge of remaining in the league for a long time in a bio-bubble.
IPL team Gujarat Titans recently bought Rai in the mega auction for his base price of Rs 2 crore. Now the franchise is looking for another player in his place.
The 15th season of IPL will start from 26 March and its final match will be played on 29 May. This time all 70 league matches will be played in Maharashtra, for which three stadiums in Mumbai and one stadium in Pune will be used.
This time 10 teams are participating in IPL and Gujarat Titans will be involved in it for the first time. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been made the captain of this team. Gujarat had included Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill in their team before the auction.
After this, in the auction for IPL 2022, this team bought Jason Rai for two crores, while Lucky Ferguson got 10 crores, Mohd. Shami was bought for 6.25 crores, Rahul Tewatia for 9 crores, David Warner was bought for 3 crores. Apart from this, the team had added many other players with them.
