KKR vs PBKS Analysis:
The Kolkata Knight Riders were brought down to earth by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous match and now face the Punjab Kings in this next match. It was impressive to see the Punjab Kings smash the RCB bowling to all parts of the ground. Is IPL 2022 their year or will they struggle to maintain consistency?

Date: 01 April, 2022
Time: 07:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India
Live Streaming: Disney+ Hotstar
TV: Star Sports Network
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The conditions in Mumbai are excellent for cricket. The weather is a bit humid but there is no rain expected. The pitch is going to be excellent for batting with a good amount of bounce and carry. Chasing is a massive advantage as the dew makes the ball come on better and also makes it difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball.
A score of around 190-200 could be on the cards batting first.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):
KKR went hard against RCB in its previous match and ended up losing a few too many wickets. However, that approach seems to be the one that the team is committed to and we do not see any throttling back in this next match. If anything, Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer may be told to get more of a move on in the powerplay overs.
The batting lineup for KKR looked out of sorts in the previous match. Venkatesh Iyer could have a few questions over facing the short ball, Ajinkya Rahane is playing out of his comfort zone, and Nitish Rana has so far failed to get going.
There will be a lot of pressure on Sam Billings and Shreyas Iyer especially if Andre Russell is not fit to take the field for this match. We would pick one out of Billings or Iyer for the Top Batsman KKR betting market.
Umesh Yadav has been brilliant with the new ball so far making an early impact on both the matches he has played. The extra bounce and movement that he has got with the new ball make him very dangerous. Tim Southee should keep his place in the playing eleven while Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy are also dependable on most days.
The problem for KKR seems to be that the dew makes their spinners less effective than they would like. Also, if Russell is not there then their replacement has to be someone who bowls. Chamika Karunaratne could be the possible replacement since he bowls and can also hit a long ball.
Likely XI: Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer (c), Nitish Rana, Sam Billings (wk), Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Sheldon Jackson, Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee, Varun Chakraborty.

Punjab Kings (PBKS):
The Punjab Kings would have been thrilled to get off to a winning start as they chased down 205 with one over to spare. The team played only three overseas players in the previous match and now with Kagiso Rabada available for selection, we expect them to play four. Sandeep Sharma is the player likely to miss out unless the Punjab Kings decide to go in with one spinner.
The batting lineup for the Punjab Kings is stacked. Mayank Aggarwal and Shikhar Dhawan form an excellent opening pair while Bhanuka Rajapaksa showed his T20 class in the previous match. With Liam Livingstone, Shahrukh Khan, and Odean Smith in the lineup, there is no shortage of six-hitting prowess in this lineup.
Raj Bawa may not have bowled a ball or scored a run in the previous match but he is a dangerous all-rounder that we expect to shine sooner rather than later.
The bowling lineup will be boosted tremendously by having Kagiso Rabada available. He is one of the best IPL bowlers in recent history and will love the bounce that the Wankhede will offer. He is our pick for the Top Bowler Punjab Kings betting market.
Likely XI: Mayank Agarwal (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, Bhanuka Rajapaksa (wk), Shah Rukh Khan, Odin Smith, Raj Bawa, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, Sandeep Sharma, Rahul Chahar
