Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders (RCBvKKR): The 6th match of IPL 2022 will be played between RCB vs KKR, the match will start at 07:30 PM IST on 30 March 2022 at Dr. DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai, India
Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- RCB has a strong batting lineup on paper but KKR is not too far behind in that respect either
- We think the player matchups favor KKR in this encounter
- Russell and Narine have an excellent record against RCB and we think they could play a major role in this match as well
RCB vs KKR Analysis:
IPL 2022 has had a great start and most of the matches so far have been closely contested. This is going to be the second match of both Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). RCB lost their last match to Punjab Kings while KKR managed to demolish CSK to a great extent in their opening match.
IPL betting sites are still preferring RCB as the minor favorite in this match though lately the head-to-head is in favor of KKR. Could this be an opportunity to explore betting? Let’s try and take a closer look.

Match 6- RCB vs KKR
Date: 30 March, 2022
Time: 07:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Dr. DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai, India
Live Streaming: Disney+ Hotstar
TV: Star Sports Network
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The pitch at the DY Patil Stadium is a brilliant one. There were over 400 runs scored in the previous match, 27 sixes hit, and we think the same could be in store for this match as well. The straight boundaries are quite short but the square boundaries are large and allow the spinners to also play a part.
We think anything around 180-190 is the least that teams batting first are going to aim for.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB):
RCB showed some very positive signs in the first match even though it ended up on the losing side. It hit 13 sixes in his innings, got all the batsmen off to a start, and Faf du Plessis showed he was still a force to be reckoned with. Perhaps most importantly, Kohli played a fluent innings where he was very enterprising against the spinners.
RCB are still on the verge of defeat, although the main reason for this is poor bowling performance. Mohammad Siraj, Wanindu Hasranga, and Akash Deep had a match to forget. On paper, RCB’s bowling has a lot of depth and we expect them to put up a better fight this time.
There’s a lot to like here in terms of batting depth and the overall balance of the team. The only thing we didn’t like was that RCB faced a lot of dot balls in the beginning and it made a difference in the end.
Likely XI: Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Sherfan Rutherford, Shahbaz Ahmed, Vanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Akash Deep, Mohammad Siraj

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):
KKR got off to a great start in their first match thanks to a brilliant opening spell from Umesh Yadav. He took the first two wickets and didn’t bowl any freebies, which you can’t always expect from Umesh Yadav. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine scored in the middle but were run out by Andre Russell and Shivam Mavi.
KKR didn’t use Venkatesh Iyer in the last match but you can expect him to throw your hand if the team needs it.
The batting effort from KKR wasn’t the most convincing but it didn’t have to be. Ajinkya Rahane played well and could be a player to watch in the coming matches as well. The pitches in Mumbai suit his style and he loves to open.
Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer and Sam Billings have also formed a very strong lineup with Andre Russell and Sunil Narine in the lead. There is a lot of flexibility in this lineup as well as a lot of power.
We feel that the KKR team is being underestimated a bit by the IPL betting sites right now.
Likely XI: Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer (c), Nitish Rana, Sam Billings (wk), Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Sheldon Jackson, Umesh Yadav, Shivam Mavi, Varun Chakraborty.
