Rajasthan Royals were one of the few teams focusing on building a strong first choice by playing 11 first, and then focusing on the backup. While they retained the solid journey of Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler, the RR management led by Kumar Sangakkara made some strong buys in the auction.
From the point of view of the team, Rajasthan Royals have done a commendable job. Players like Shimron Hetmyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Ravichandran Ashwin and Devdutt Padikkal look good in the opening 11. The all-rounder part is the only area for which the team may face some challenges. In addition, the line-up has a lot of firepower.
Meanwhile, the Royals will continue their journey under the mighty leadership of Sanju Samson, who was promoted as captain only last year. He is not only the leader of the team but he is also the most expensive player in the line-up. After impressing as a batsman last year, the stakes will now be high on Sanju Samson.
