Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- Both teams have a very strong batting lineup with top order batters in prime form
- RR could be limiting itself with some strange team selection choices
- We think LSG has more depth in its lineup
RR vs LSG Analysis:
The Rajasthan Royals and the Lucknow Super Giants have been two of the more impressive teams in IPL 2022 so far. Both teams have lost just one match but LSG has played one more match and has one more win right now. The two teams are actually quite different in the manner that they have approached the game and so it is quite intriguing to see the kind of success that they have had.
The IPL betting sites are currently offering the exact same odds for RR and LSG to win this match indicating that even they are not able to pick a favorite so far.

Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The conditions at the Wankhede are generally excellent for batting. The wicket will start to offer up some spin as IPL 2022 goes on but the dew is still expected to be a big factor and make batting a lot easier in the second inning. The small boundaries also make a lot of sixes being hit likely.

Rajasthan Royals (RR):
RR has been led by the brilliant Jos Buttler in IPL 2022 as he leads everyone else in scoring runs so far. His form at the top is going to be crucial in this contest against LSG as well. He is going to be up against Krunal Pandya, one of the bowlers that have had a bit of success against him in the past.
RR’s batting lineup is very strong. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson, and Shimron Hetmyer are all in pretty good form. This makes the lineup very dangerous indeed. We think you can bet on Devidutt Padikkal to score some runs in this match. He has looked in good form and is likely to bat at number three.
The problem for RR might be if Jos Buttler gets out early. We also think Shimron Hetmyer may have some trouble if he has to face Ravi Bishnoi. RR can easily choose to include Jimmy Neesham in the lineup in place of someone like Rian Parag or K Gowtham but they have so far opted to play with three overseas players.
RR’s bowling lineup is also stacked with talent. Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, and R Ashwin can walk into any team in IPL 2022. The only weak link seems to be Navdeep Saini who is extremely expensive and serves up poor deliveries under pressure.
Likely XI: Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (wk, captain), Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin, Navdeep Saini, Trent Boult, Prashidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):
LSG has done very well in IPL 2022 so far thanks to some remarkable consistency by its top-order and solid cameos by its lower order. Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul are quite possibly the best opening pair in this entire tournament. They have both been scoring runs in almost every match.
From a betting point of view, you could bet on LSG to have the higher opening partnership and hit more fours.
Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, and Evin Lewis help provide a lot of power in the middle while Jason Holder, Krunal Pandya, and K Gowtham are all more than useful with the bat as well.
We think LSG is certainly capable of matching RR in terms of batting strength.
The bowling lineup for LSG is quite good. Ravi Bishnoi is the easy standout bowler in the lineup while Jason Holder was spectacular in the death overs against DC. However, Avesh Khan and Krunal Panday can be a bit expensive and Andrew Tye has also not had the kind of success he would have hoped for.
Likely XI: KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Evin Lewis, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Krishnappa Gautam, Andrew Tye, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan.
