IPL 2022 will start from 26 March while its final match will be played on 29 May. Its decision was taken in the IPL Governing Council meeting. A total of 10 teams will participate in this season and a total of 70 matches will be played.
The 15th season of the Indian Premier League will start from 26 March and its final match will be played on 29 May. This decision was taken in the IPL Governing Council meeting. In this meeting led by Brijesh Patel, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly participated in a virtual way as he is currently in London.
In the meeting of the Governing Council, it has been decided that all league matches will be held in Mumbai while where the play-off matches will be played will be decided later. According to BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla, IPL 2022 will start from March 26 and IPL will be played in Maharashtra this year. We are sure that some percentage of the spectators will be allowed in the stadium and we will follow the guidelines given by the government.
Out of 70 league matches, 55 matches will be played in Mumbai while 15 matches will be played in Pune. All these matches will be played in four stadiums in which 20 matches will be played at Wankhede Stadium, 15 matches will be played at Braban Stadium, 20 matches will be played at DY Patil Stadium and 15 matches will be played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Ground, Pune. At the same time, the IPL schedule will be completely finalized in a few days. According to Inside Sports, this date has come to the fore regarding IPL.
