After the mega auction of IPL 2022, there will be some changes in the team of four-time champion Chennai Super Kings. Some new players have definitely come in this team, but during the auction, the effort of this team was to get their old players connected with them and also looked successful in it. During the auction, CSK managed to rope in Deepak Chahar, Robin Uthappa, Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu, who were playing for them earlier as well.
CSK had already retained all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali and Rituraj Gaikwad for the auction. In this auction, CSK added KM Asif and Tushar Deshpande with them. CSK bought Robin Uthappa for 2 crores, Dwayne Bravo for 4.4 crores, Ambati Rayudu for 6.75 crores and spent Rs 14 crores on the fast bowling all-rounder. CSK showed confidence in fast bowler Chris Jordan and bought him for 3.60 crores while his base price was 2 crores. In this season, Deepak Chahar was the most expensive player of CSK while Ambati Rayudu was at number two.
