A two-day mega auction was conducted before the 15th season of the Indian Premier League. All 10 teams participating in the new season took part in Bangalore on 12 and 13 February. A total of 600 players were included in this mega auction, out of which only 204 players showed their interest to the teams. Rajasthan Royals, who won the tournament first, once again placed their bets on the youth. The team made a high bid of 10 crores for fast bowler Pranand Krishna and made him a part of their team.
