BCCI Secretary Jay Shah on Saturday confirmed that IPL 2022 will be played in India. Jay Shah said during an event in Chennai, ‘I know you all are eagerly waiting to see Chennai Super Kings play in Chepauk. That moment is not too far away, the 15th season of IPL will be held in India and it will be even more exciting with the addition of new teams. We will have a big auction to see what the new combination looks like.

Regarding CSK’s success in IPL 2022, he said, “A lot of credit for CSK’s success over the years goes to N Srinivasan as he stood by his team in tough times. I must add that Kasi Viswanathan is like the glue that binds the team together. Session after season he has guided the team. How can anyone take CSK lightly when you have a captain like MS Dhoni. Dhoni is the heart and backbone of CSK. Mahi is the most successful captain India has ever produced. The environment they have created and the legacy they have created will last for a long time.

Let us tell you that IPL season 2020 was organized entirely in UAE and Mumbai Indians became the champion, but after that IPL 2021 was being organized in India. During this year’s event, many players were hit by the Kovid-19 epidemic and then it had to be postponed. Then the second leg of IPL 2021 was successfully organized in UAE and this year under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings became champion for the fourth time. Now after Jay Shah’s statement, IPL will once again return to India and this is the biggest happy news for the cricket fans. In the next season two new teams Ahmedabad and Lucknow are also joining this league and now the total number of teams has gone up to 10.
