The date of the mega auction to be held in the Indian Premier League, one of the most popular league of T20 cricket, has been revealed. According to the information, this auction can be done at the end of next year. Apart from this, preparations have also been made to include two new teams. Before entering the auction, each team will be allowed to retain four players and the budget amount will also be increased.
The eyes of the world are on the auction of players to be held in IPL. In the last mini auction also, money was rained on Indians including foreign players. Now the talk of its great auction has come to the fore. Each of the franchise teams will be allowed to retain any of their four players before the mega auction. Each team will be able to retain three Indian and one foreign player or two Indian and two foreign players. According to the current rules, a team was allowed to retain a maximum of three players.
15 crore, 11 crore and 7 crore rupees were deducted from the team’s budget in lieu of retaining players. If a team would retain any two players, then Rs 12.5 crore and Rs 8.5 crore would have been deducted. In case of retaining only one player, a provision of Rs 12.5 crore has been made to deduct from the budget amount.
According to the information, BCCI has decided to increase the amount of Rs 5 crore in the budget of the team and four players would have been allowed to retain. The budget of the team is now set to be increased from Rs 85 crore to Rs 90 crore.
