Series tied at 1-1:
In this test series, both the teams are tied on each other and this match will be very important for both the teams from the point of view of winning the series. For India to win the Test series for the first time on South African soil, winning this match is very important. If India loses this match, then its dream can be shattered.
Indian batsmen have to score runs:
The fast bowlers get help in Cape Town and in such a situation the batsmen of Team India will be tested hard. In the Johannesburg Test, some Indian batsmen managed to score runs, but others were disappointed. Team India will have to score runs to win in this match.
Apart from this, the Indian players also need to build big partnerships so that a good score can be made. Rishabh Pant will have to understand his responsibility as the team is bearing the brunt of his not scoring runs in the lower order.
On the other hand, talking about the Indian bowlers, they need to make some changes in their strategy so that they can get out the batsmen like Dean Elgar and Temba Bavuma early. Indian batsmen need to play the South African fast bowlers carefully as they are troubling them taking advantage of their length.
Talking about South Africa’s batting, barring a few batsmen, they do not have much power, but they are stopping India from scoring more runs on their excellent bowling. The same thing happened in the last match as well. Apart from this, the Indian bowlers need to target Dean Elgar who has been in excellent form and is scoring runs.
India’s performance disappointing in Cape Town:
The Test record of the Indian team in Cape Town has not been good so far. Since 1993 till now, India has played five Test matches at this ground in which it has lost three matches while two matches have been drawn. India played its last Test match here under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, in which it was defeated. In such a situation, Team India will try to improve its past performance with a win on this ground.
