England has announced its 17-man squad for the Ashes Test series against Australia starting on December 8. The captaincy of this team will be in the hands of Joe Root while the vice-captain of the team will be Jos Buttler. Almost all the major players have been included in this team, while the young all-rounder Sam Curran, who got injured during the IPL, has not been given a place in the team. The first match of the Ashes Test series will be played at the Gabba from December 8 to December 12. At the same time, from December 16, the second Test will start at the Adelaide Oval. After this, the third match of the Test series will be played from 26 December at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the fourth match will be played in Sydney. The last match of the series will start on January 14 in Perth. The last Ashes Test series was played between the two teams in 2019-20 which was tied at 2-2.
