India vs New Zealand(INDvNZ): Match 28 of T20 World Cup 2021 will be played between these two teams IND vs NZ, The match will begin on 31 October 2021 at 07:30 PM IST.
Team winner Prediction:
Key Points:
- Both teams have a strong batting lineup but India’s batsmen are more adept at scoring in spin-friendly conditions
- New Zealand has a great record against India in ICC events and has not lost to it since 2003
- India’s bowling is a bit of a concern but we think it lines up well against New Zealand’s batting and should be able to get the job done
IND vs NZ Analysis:
India and New Zealand come up with a possible semi-final spot in this next match of the T20 World Cup 2021. Yes, Afghanistan is capable of beating others and anything can happen in cricket but there is a very real possibility that the winning team between India and England is going to make it to the semi-finals.
Both India and New Zealand have played one match against Pakistan so far and have lost. India’s defeat was more extensive while New Zealand managed to push Pakistan slightly. It is also no secret that New Zealand has been India’s nemesis in ICC events for quite some time now. India last defeated New Zealand in an ICC event in 2003.
Match Details:
Date: October 31, 2021
Time: 07:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Dubai international cricket stadium, Dubai
Live Streaming: Disney+ Hotstar
TV: Star Sports Network
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The conditions are expected to be good for cricket. Dubai has severe dup good batting wickets where scores of around 150 have been chased down as well. The dew comes down in the second inning and definitely makes things easier for the chasing team. Spinners find it difficult to grip the ball and the batsmen are able to hit through the line better.
Make sure you hedge your bets by betting on the chasing team if you have bet on the team batting first pre-match
Team Preview:
India (IND):
India’s top order was blown up by Shaheen Afridi against Pakistan but there were some positive signs too. Virat Kohli showed that no one came close to him while performing under pressure. He has now scored the last six fifty-plus scores for India in T20 World Cup matches! Rishabh Pant batted well and the lower order also showed some energy.
There is some talk of Ishan Kishan being given a chance in this match but in our opinion that is not likely to happen. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are India’s best openers and not a single bad match can deny it. Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya should all retain their place in the lineup.
We think betting on KL Rahul and Virat Kohli to score some runs is the way to go in this match. Check out the over/under betting market for their individual scores or bet on them in To Score a Fifty Market.
The biggest concern for India will be their bowling. It looked completely toothless against Pakistan. We will be very surprised if Bhuvneshwar Kumar retains his place in the team. With no swing on offer, he is cannon fodder with his top speed of 120 km/h. Shardul Thakur is set to replace him in the playing XI.
India are unlikely to make any further changes to their lineup, although replacing Varun Chakraborty with R Ashwin or Rahul Chahar is not a bad option. You may want to bet on Shardul Thakur to take 2+ wickets if you think he will continue in the same form as he was in IPL.
Likely XI: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakraborty, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah

New Zealand (NZ):
New Zealand gave a tough fight to Pakistan in Sharjah, a venue that is perhaps the most spin-friendly in this edition of the T20 World Cup. It was Asif Ali’s late order blitz and Shoaib Malik’s cool head that took the game away from him. For this match against India, we think it’s going to use some dramatically different tactics.
It will go for the wickets with Trent Boult and Tim Southee looking to rip apart the Indian batting order. This is essentially where the match can be won quickly. Can Boult Shaheen India? You might want to bet on that if you think it’s going to happen. We don’t think it will happen, though, as Boult wasn’t taking his best wicket in the second half of the IPL and has struggled in the UAE so far.
Mitch Santner and Ish Sodhi wrote the script for New Zealand’s victory over India in the 2016 World Cup. It is going to be fresh in the mind of the New Zealand analyst and we are sure that the spinners are going to bowl according to their favorable match-up. We think they might find it a bit tough against Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, all of whom are great players of spin.
New Zealand’s batting will be led by Kane Williamson and Devon Conway. They are the glue that holds their batting together while players like Guptill, Mitchell, Neesham attack. We would probably bet on Kane Williamson or Devon Conway, the top batsman in the New Zealand betting market.
New Zealand is tenacious and tends to punch above its weight in world events. Be very careful when you bet against it!
Likely XI: Kane Williamson (c), Devon Conway (wk), Martin Guptill, Kyle Jamieson, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Trent Boult
