The Indian cricket team is to play in a limited over series on the tour of Sri Lanka next month. For the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka, the Indian selectors’ committee has announced the team with veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan as the captain while pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named as the vice-captain.
Kuldeep Yadav, who was dropped from the Test team, remains in the limited overs series. Along with this, Nitish Rana, Devdutt Padikkal, Rituraj and Chetan Sakariya have been included in the team for the first time. The first one-day match of the T20 series of three ODIs and as many matches will be played on July 13, while the last T20 match will be played on July 25. All matches at one place Colombo’s R.K. Will be played at Premadasa Stadium.
