In the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022, the Indian women’s team had to face defeat against New Zealand in their second league match. Earlier, the Indian team had made a great start in the tournament by defeating Pakistan, but in the second match, the Kiwi team defeated it.

New Zealand innings, Amy Satterthwaite and Amelia’s half-centuries-
New Zealand did not have a good start and Suzy Bates was run out after scoring just 5 runs. After this, captain Sophie Devine became the first victim of Pooja by scoring 35 runs. After this, Amelia Kerr played a brilliant innings of 50 runs, but she was dismissed by Rajeshwari Gaikwad.
Maddy Green was sent to the pavilion by Deepti Sharma on the score of just 27 runs, while Amy Satterthwaite gave a tremendous contribution of 75 runs for the team, but she was caught by Mithali on the ball of Pooja.
Then Katie Martin scored 41 runs for the team and her innings was ended by Jhulan Goswami. For India, Pooja took the maximum four wickets while Rajeshwari Gaikwad took two and Jhulan Goswami and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each.
