The hotel management had received a complaint of noise by a hotel guest and, as is common in Australia, the local police were present at the scene. When the hotel management and Tasmanian police asked them to leave, the players and management returned to their respective rooms. The ECB regrets any inconvenience caused to the guests. The ECB will investigate further. Till such time we will not comment further.
An ECB spokesman said:
The ECB learned that Thorpe was behind the camera and circulated the video to the Internet media. Players from both England and Australia teams were staying at Crowne Plaza during the fifth Ashes Test at the Bellerive Oval, where they began the celebrations after the series.
