Team India’s goal difference was +11 as compared to Bangladesh’s +3 goal. India’s Linda Kom, who scored five goals in the tournament, was the highest goalscorer and ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the tournament.
The last match between India and Bangladesh was played on Friday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. There was a tough fight between the two teams till the last minute but in the 74th minute, Aklima Khatoon’s goal opened Bangladesh’s account and then they registered a win against India.
